I graduated from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas and immediately started my State Farm career as an agent in Independence, Kansas in 1970. After 3 years as an agent, I spent the next 22 years in field and executive management, then moved to Greenville in 1995 and took over an existing State Farm agency in Travelers Rest. Have my CLU, ChFC, CASL and LUTCF designations.

My State Farm honors include Ambassador Club, Chairman's Circle, President's Club, Legion of Honor, Bronze Table, Silver Scroll, Golden Triangle and Crystal Excellence. Industry honors include National Sales Achievement Award, National Multiple Line Achievement Award, National Quality Award, Leading Producers Round Table and membership in the Million Dollar Round Table. I am a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Society of Financial Services Professionals.

I am a two time past president of the Travelers Rest Area Business Association (now the Greater Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce), past chairman of the George I Thiesen Family YMCA Board of Directors, past chairman of the YMCA of Greenville Endowment Corporation Board of Directors and former member of the Foothills Family Resources Board of Directors and the Travelers Rest Farmers Market Board of Directors. I am currently a member of the Travelers Rest Lions Club and the Greater Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce and was the 1997 recipient of the Travelers Rest Business Association Business Person of the Year Award and the 2015 recipient of the Greater Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award.

My Team and I have nearly 100 years of combined State Farm experience serving Travelers Rest, Marietta, Taylors, Greer, The Cliffs Communities and Greenville, SC. We focus on auto insurance, life insurance, homeowners insurance, renters insurance and health insurance.
